STI Screening & Treatment

Most STIs are easily treated. It is important to get treated early to avoid complications and passing on the infection to others.

  • Herpes
  • Urethritis in Men
  • Chlamydia
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Vaginal Discharge and Irritation
  • Candida Vaginitis
  • Bacterial Vaginosis
  • Genital Warts
  • Syphilis
  • Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
  • Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)
  • Rashes
Any sexually active person may be exposed to a sexually transmitted infection (STI) and is advised to get tested for STIs regularly.

Some STIs have no symptoms and if left untreated can result in infertility in both sexes and other serious medical conditions. The good news is that treatment for most STIs is simple and painless. Some of the most common STIs can be treated with a one-day antibiotic course.

If you are pregnant and think you might have picked up a STI, it is particularly important to get it checked out and treated as soon as possible.

The staff at Medixclinic are trained to screen for and treat sexually transmitted infections in an understanding and helpful way so there is no need for you to feel embarrassed.

What’s involved
